Hello from Norfolk VA

I'm Tim.
I have a sneaky feeling I'm the oldest Sick Puppies fan on this board - I've lurked for a bit and now feel something like a pedobear. In fact, I'm pretty sure I was already a dad when Shim & Emma were in high school. Which *probably* makes me older than the band. :sigh: For the record, I'm 32.
Live in Norfolk, VA, work in Virginia Beach, long-term gf, 2 dogs, etc.
I've been playing bass since the summer of 96, live and breathe music. I've played in bands of various genres since about 97, and have done some (local, mostly) touring, session work, writing and instructing. I currently play a made-in-Germany Warwick Corvette $$ 5 through a constantly shifting pedalboard into a MarkBass Little Mark Tube 800, into an Avatar B410 Neo cab. I've been involved in the local music scene since I got here in 2002, and have some minor notoriety among the bassists in the area.
I was active duty Navy enlisted from 99-09, got out honorably and now work in civil service as an electrical engineer for the Navy. Loved my time in the Navy, but decided I didn't want to do 20+ years of it. Been on 4 deployments, seen most of the world, and have worked in some of the most dangerous environments possible - the flight deck of a carrier.
I drive a Cadillac CTS, blacked out and (soon to be) rockin' a personalized Veteran plate which says "ODD ONE" proudly.
I'm a huge Street Fighter nerd - I've been playing the game more or less since it came out waaaaay back when - and I was totally oblivious to the fact that Sick Puppies 'War' was the song used for the commercial for SF4. Things come full circle, I suppose.
Wow, it's somewhat disappointing to be able to sum up your life in a few shorts paragraphs. :sigh:
Well, that's me.
