Went to see this over the weekend, i loved it! im thinking about going back to see it again sometime this week.

I guess I'm the only one that was highly disappointed. As a fan of the book dating years and years back, and hyped about the film for about 2 years I expected much more. The visuals were amazing, acting was pretty solid; however the weak-point was the storyline, especially the ending, what the frick was that climatic ending? I wonder if Burton either ran out of ideas or just put that part on auto-pilot.
It wasn't a bad film at all, just not great, nothing memorable. I'm not sure whether to blame Disney restricting Burton from doing what he does best, or if he's simply losing his touch. I'm going with the former though because after gems like "Big Fish" and "Ed Wood" (unfortunately the Burton films not as popular) I know that man has much more to offer.

Well when converting books to movie, there's always going to be change. Like I said, haven't read the books in a while so it was very far fro fresh in my mind. Even if I hated the storyline I would still say it was amazing just based on the visuals. The half real half animated people were really cool and a tiny but creepy.

We ended up going back to Borders today and I hunted down that book. I was wrong, no fancy bookmark. No idea why I thought there was one

I thought the movie was great. I loved Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen.

Helena Bonham Carter was amazing!
Saw it tonight and loved it! Johnny can do no wrong, but Helena Bonham Carter was definitely my favorite part of the movie.

I have this movie on DVD. It is so good!
