A Connecticut Fan . . .

Hi Everyone!
I'm Sheffie and a transplant from Virginia living in Connecticut. I'm not exactly sure when I started to really get into Sick Puppies. However, I'm pretty sure the first song I heard was War blasting from my youngest son's room. Couldn't tell him I loved it because he'd probably never play it again just to spite me. After doing a lot of listening, I absolutely fell in love with the band.
I first saw Sick Puppies live 3 August 2013 at The Paramount in Huntington, NY (with my son) and was in awe of how great they were in person. In my teens I saw just about every 80's metal band you could think of in concert and I can honestly say Sick Puppies is hands down the best live performance EVER. They are a solid group with incredible vocals. Shim works the crowd like no other and Emma is amazing. Can't forget Mark back there too working those drums . About this same time I was going through some serious health issues and without sounding too cheesy, the music helped me through it. I found strength, encouragement and fight in me to motor through some of my lowest moments. Just before I had my surgery, I got to see the Pups one more time 9 November 2013 at the Mohegan Sun in CT. Although not the best venue for them, this show was incredible for me. I went to the VIP session and fell in love even more (if that's possible) after seeing how genuine Shim, Mark and Emma are to their fans. Standing next to Shim was an OMG moment and something I will treasure always!
I definitely want to become an ambassador so I can do my part to bring Sick Puppies to New England and help spread their music to those who have no idea what they are missing! If you are in the area, I would love to communicate and collaborate with you to further the cause.
