Just a Portland Oregon Kid!

Hello all!
my name is Ashton, I'm from and I currently reside in portland Oregon! I'm seventeen years old, and am a Sick Puppy of almost 3 years. I first saw them in 2011, where I met the band and got their "Free Hugs" wrist band. ever since then, I've worn it nearly every day, from when I get out of the shower to when I go to bed. I recently saw them in Eugene, Oregon, and got 9 autographs, a new T-Shirt and a photo with the band. Sick Puppies is my favorite band, and they mean so much to me.
I'm a very nice guy. I'm very accepting of others, and I love to help others. I'm an Atheist, but am totally respecting of other beliefs. I never get angry, and I'm a fairly positive person. I don't believe in violence, but I do believe in defending others. Everyone is a friend of mine until they give me a reason not to be! I LOVE people, and I believe that everyone has good in them, no matter how little it shows.
I grew up picked on quite a bit, being called fat, ugly, retarded, gay, and any other "insult" under the sun. I forgive those who did that to me though, because I'd prefer to live life without anger. In fact, I've ended up making friends with some of those people. I guess most people would use bullying as a reason to be angry at the world, but the way I see it, when I'm on my death bed, I'd rather be laying there, knowing I haven't left a knife in someone's back.
All of that said, I still don't have many friends. Even when I stopped giving people a reason to pick on me, I was, and still am, a lonely person. That said, I love the friends I have. They've seen me at my all time low, and they've seen me at my highest point. They've helped shape who I am, and I am, beyond my death bed, grateful for them.
I play guitar, drums, bass and piano and I sing. I write my own music, too! As weird as it sounds though, it's for a Metal band! Although Sick Puppies is my favorite band, I am mainly a metal head, but no band could get in the way of the Puppies for me! I'm currently the Drummer for A World Without, and am trying to start up a band as a vocalist.
Other bands I like are Three Days Grace, D.R.U.G.S, The Devil Wears Prada, Metallica, Asking Alexandria, Get Scared, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Attack Attack!, As I Lay Dying, The Ghost Inside, Breathe Carolina and I See Stars. Like I said, I know it's weird, but I'm primarily a metalhead! haha!
I LOVE to play video games, retro and modern. My favorite video game series' are The Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon. I love every genre of gaming, but for some I'm pickier than others. And if you couldn't tell, I'm a Nintendo gamer for the most part!
Life is too short to worry about the little things, so live life to the fullest! Thank you so much for reading about me (not that I'm very interesting xD)!
I may have incredibly low confidence, but I'm happy knowing that I'm putting this onto a community where I can make friends.

I saw the pups at Hawthorne in 2011 too, what a great show! (It's not very often that I come across other Oregon babies on here, so this is exciting for me
