What's your real name or nicknames?
Kelly

How old are you?
I believe that age is just a number, & old is giving up...so I don't have a reply

Where are you from?
Florida Native (a rarity)

What do you do for a living?
Currently attending school, majoring in Criminology & Psychology. (And no, I'm not going to profile anyone.)

What are some of your hobbies?
Indoor - MUSIC, painting/drawing, photography, creating
Outdoor - MUSIC, photography, surfing, skating, sailing, fishing (saltwater, beach & boat), camping, kayaking/canoeing
I guess it's pretty obvious that I prefer the outdoors....

Name one song that describe you or your life?
Jeez - that one is impossible to answer!!! I could describe my life using song titles & lyrics, just those by the Sick Puppies, with no trouble, though.

Favorite musicians/bands?
Well, obviously the Sick Puppies rank high on that list. If you look at my iPod, you'd see that 'diverse' would be understating it - Flogging Molly, Jack Johnson, Celtic Woman, Social Distortion, Marley, ...... see?

Which SP song means the most to you?
It's an unbreakable tie between White Balloons & Healing Now.
Several years ago, I was diagnosed with PTSD. I've shared both of these songs with members of my support group & others with PTSD, MANY times.

Favorite SP album?
They're all great - but I have to say Connect. It showcases the amazing depths they've each tapped into their talent & intertwined more strongly (as a band) to access a massively greater range of sound.

Favorite SP moment? (Concert experience, meeting the band, dream, story, etc...)
The ultimate would be to have the chance to just hang out with them & a few other people, someplace completely casual & laid-back, just rambling about everything & nothing - like regular friends do.
I've had the op to meet the band at almost every show, so that they've started to recognize me (a nice feeling). One of the coolest was the first time, though.
They had a show scheduled for HOB, & I'd already purchased my ticket, when a local radio station announced that they were headlining, the day before that show, for an outdoor festival.
While I was at the 1st show, I managed to get a really nice pic of Emma, with her foot up on an amp. The next day I went online to post some of my photos, & saw that one of the on-stage photographers had gotten a shot at the exact same time - from the back. I Tweeted my photo.
At the HOB, I was chosen to meet the band, & had one of my photos printed for them to sign. I told Emma about the pic I'd gotten of her & she gave me a big smile & said, "I saw that! It was you that posted that shot? Nice!" :surprised:

How many SP shows have you been to?
How many have they played in Florida? Honestly, I'm not sure. I think that it's about 8 in just the last 3 years.

Hardcore or softcore?
Softcore? Isn't that what they play at the dentist office, trying to make you pass out & not notice the discomfort?

Any SPWC members that you know in real life or have met at a concert? Post their usernames only.
Thanks to one of the people who responded to my meet-up suggestion, I had the opportunity to meet....well, she's an Ambassador, now....so I think everyone I met was one. And Gerry. So I guess you could say that I'm 'acquainted' with them.

Anything else that you wish to reveal about yourself?
There are some things that are vital to my survival:
- music (iPod, stereo, or in my head)
- the ocean
- Dr. Pepper
- my best friends

What's your real name or nicknames?
-Bethany. One of my friends nicknamed me Lord Bethens, so my friends tend to call me Bethens or Milord, hah hah.

How old are you?
-24, though generally nobody believes me...

Where are you from?
-Rhode Island. Still here.

What do you do for a living?
-I am an early childhood educator. I currently work as a Therapeutic Integration Specialist for a preschool, which is a fancy title for a teacher who integrates behavior plans for children in our therapeutic program.

What are some of your hobbies?
Playing video games, cosplaying and attending anime/gaming conventions. I'm...pretty nerdy. I'm a novice at making my own costumes but I do make them.

Name one song that describe you or your life?
-Maybe, most likely.

Favorite musicians/bands?
-Sick Puppies obviously, Evanescence, Celldweller, Nightwish, Within Temptation, to name the top ones.

Which SP song means the most to you?
-Ahhh, that's hard. I wanna say Maybe, Odd One and Connect.

Favorite SP album?
-I honestly don't have a favorite. There are things about all of them I love.

Favorite SP moment? (Concert experience, meeting the band, dream, story, etc...)
-The VIP session at Mohegan Sun last night. Not only was the acoustic set wonderful, but it was really small and personal. I also got hugs from Shim, which has been a goal of mine but I'm usually too shy to ask! I also want to add in the show August 9th at Fete, when my mom and a couple caught a drumstick at the same time, but ultimately the couple agreed to let me have it. <3

How many SP shows have you been to?
-Including the Evanescence show that introduced me to them...I think 6.

Hardcore or softcore?
-Both?

Any SPWC members that you know in real life or have met at a concert? Post their usernames only.
-I am bad at remaining active on forums, so I haven't actually met anybody, but that might change with this forum!

Anything else that you wish to reveal about yourself?
-I can be rather shy, but I promise I love making friends! I wanna Connect with you~

-Hopefully one day it will be meeting the band, but for now, I'm going to go with my concert experience in Baltimore! Not only was the band absolutely flawless, but something really cool happened that made me realize why Sick Puppies fans are the greatest. After the jumping thing, I looked down and saw an iPod on the ground. It didn't belong to anyone around me, so everyone pitched in and helped pass it around the area to see if we could find the owner. Everyone was so nice and helpful and honest and just wanted to give the ipod back to the owner! It was awesome. And yes, it did get returned

How many SP shows have you been to?
-just one so far, but now that I'm out of school and have actual time, hopefully there are many more to come!

Hardcore or softcore?
-uh, both?

Name one song that describe you or your life?

It is actually the Sick Puppies song Odd One. You see, I was in the military during the Iraq war and now I suffer from PTSD. I tell myself every day that things will be ok and listening to this song reassures me of that. I WILL laugh at this some day.

Odd One

Favorite SP album?

TriPolar

How many SP shows have you been to?

I lost count. I've been to every one of their St.Louis shows since September 2007

Hardcore or softcore? depends on what we are talking about

What's your real name or nicknames?

April Driesse, April-Marie, or as my Gaming Community knows me "Cassanova" or "Cass" or "GhostRider" or some variation of those names

How old are you? 24

Where are you from? I was born in Manchester, NH. Lived in Boston, MA for my childhood. Moved to Ft Myers, FL for 4 years while in the FL Army National Guard, then moved here, to Mentor, OH.

What do you do for a living? Tier 3 Home Networking Support for Comcast

What are some of your hobbies? Gaming, Photography, Scrapbooking, Meeting new People, Music, DJing, Singing.

Name one song that describe you or your life?

The song that describes my life presently by Sick Puppies is Where Does The Time Go. It describes how life goes by so fast, and how looking back you wonder where time went, and it talks about your life now.The song basically tells you to live your life and enjoy every moment. That people will come in and out of your life, but each one has a meaning. It talks about how you shouldn't run from your life, because time will not stop. This is pretty much where I am right now with my life. I look back and wonder where time went, and why certain people left and come back in my life, and what life has in store for me. What accomplishments I should accomplish.

I would say the song that is not by SP that describes my life is Change Tomorrow by Like a Storm. It is a very powerful song about changing your life for what you want, letting go of all your past secrets, regrets, and negativity and mistakes and regrets that you made in the past and making a decision right here and now, for the better.

Favorite musicians/bands?

I listed this in another thread but:

Which SP song means the most to you?

This is a hard one to answer. There are so many that I can relate to.
Odd One is definitely a song that means a lot to me because I often feel like society has stigma towards people who suffer from sickness or mental illness. I have PTSD, Generalized Anxiety, and Borderline Personality/Depression issues. Ever since I got out of the Guard, I've dealt with stuff that I did while in. things I dealt with that changed my life. Odd one talks about how someone who doesn't fit in, is different and they don't care. This song basically fits me. I have the attitude that yes, I am different, but I am me. If you don't like me, well then, you should pretty much go elsewhere. I feel like odd one hits that spot to me, because others try so hard to fit in with society, and their friends instead of being themselves. The song talks about being who you are, and being happy with who you are, even if you are the "odd one" and so that is the song that I feel means the most to me, who I am, and my life.

Favorite SP album? Tripolar by far.

Favorite SP moment? (Concert experience, meeting the band, dream, story, etc...)

I went to my first concert in Joliet, IL. So many memories.
I was VIP, and when I asked for a photo with Shim, Emma and Mark, the conversation that occured was funny and memorable. Shim said "That is a phone?" and I said "Yes it is a Samsung Note 2" and Emma goes "No, thats a tablet" I go "Pretty much" and Shim goes "They just keep getting bigger" I just laughed. At the concert, it was memorable because I had stage side, and I met so many amazing people. I met cheetofreak82 there. We talked in the VIP Line for like 40 minutes, and he was decked out in SP Gear. My favorite memory of the show was the "connection" that everyone had and how involved the SP were on stage. We created the "biggest" jump line that Shim told us to do. I put my hands on cheetofreak's back and to my right was another person named Zack and this girl Vanessa I had been friends with and we were all rocking out together. Emma kept looking right at me rocking out. I remember as the show ended, we all screamed "One more song" and they came out and did two. They truly love their fans.

How many SP shows have you been to? My first one was in Joliet, IL, but I hope to be going to more. I am going to try to swing Ft Myers Rock and Jacksonville but I don't know if I will be able to.

Hardcore or softcore? In reference to Rock? A little of both. If referencing SP, I am a hardcore fan xD

Any SPWC members that you know in real life or have met at a concert? Post their usernames only.
cheetofreak82.
Interestingly enough, thanks to these forums, we "reconnected" here after "connecting" at the concert. :)

Anything else that you wish to reveal about yourself?

Um.... I love SP (Obviously) am a computer/tech guru, love Dr. Who. I am a single mother to an amazing 4 year old who has special needs. I was in the Army for 4 years as a military police officer. I work from home and am a full time college student... pretty much sums up to I don't get alot of spare time to travel to concerts, but when I do, I enjoy it. :) Also, I am blessed to be a SPWC Member and you all are amazing.

I have facebook too, if you want to add me: https://www.facebook.com/april.driesse

What's your real name or nicknames? My real name is Paige, but I often go by Daez or Syri as internet handles; I've had both nicknames for about a decade so I'll respond to either just as well!

How old are you? I'm going to be 30 in May!

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Northern Colorado, but I've lived 5 years in Miami and 3 years in Arizona, until just this December of 2013 when I finally moved back home.

What do you do for a living? I herd cats. Well... not really. I am the Moderation and Community Standards Manager for a website called HuffPost; which basically means I have 30ish people running me ragged from all over the country, that I'm trying to keep tabs on and keep track of. ......basically, I herd cats! LOL.

What are some of your hobbies?
I love to read, paint, refinish furniture, hike (now that I'm back near my beloved mountains), go to concerts, listen to music, muck around online, and every few weeks I get together with a group of anywhere from 7-40 people for a board-game day, where we all gather together at a mate's and drink, listen to music, and play lots and lots of board games! I also am a D&D player (and wonder of wonders, just happened upon a new group here in town! I get to start my first session with them this weekend!!!)

Name one song that describe you or your life?
Oh this one was easy. "Maybe" was my life to a tee. I won't go into much detail right now as it's some pretty heavy and personal stuff, but... this song, along with You're Going Down helped to change my life. Maybe is me - I've picked up and moved across the country at least 5 times in the last 10 years, and moved a grand total (though smaller-distanced moves) of 13 times in the same time span. Sometimes life needs just a bit of a kick in the pants... and if you let it, the most amazing things can happen to you.

Favorite musicians/bands?
Obviously Sick Puppies, for one. I'm also a big fan of Breaking Benjamin, Eluveitie, ThreeShots, Love.45, Green Day and Bink182, BOND, and KDLang. I like a little bit of everything, really... lol!

Which SP song means the most to you? That would be Maybe, and You're Going Down. I won't go into why because it's a long and pretty personal story, but... suffice to say they literally helped me to save my own life. The first one dared me to begin to dream again... the second pissed me off when I needed it most.

Favorite SP album? Tri-Polar for (hopefully) obvious reasons.

Favorite SP moment? (Concert experience, meeting the band, dream, story, etc...) The very first time I heard Sick Puppies. I was in a... very unhealthy relationship situation. The song came on the radio... and my mind zoned out the yelling, and instead focused on the words. "...wanna live a better life, what am I waiting for? Cause nothing stays the same, maybe it's time to change....." and it was. And.... I did. That's all I'll go into for that, for now, as I don't really want to infodump you lol.

How many SP shows have you been to?
Well now... that's a trickier question. I've bought tickets to 6 shows. I finally for the first time managed to make it to one this Monday the 10th in Denver. When I had tickets to see them in Cheyenne, I came down with a case of food poisoning that had me horking so badly I didn't want to move. When I had tickets to see them here in Colorado, my ex ripped them up out of spite. When I was living in Florida, what started out as an ER trip turned into emergency surgery and just over a week's stay in the hospital... didn't get out til a few days after the show! And last year when they were in Tempe, my car broke down as I was heading down from Prescott on I-17.... by the time the tow truck showed up, and I found another potential ride, it was too late. :(

So... I've only successfully been to the one show. But I'm now eagerly awaiting my second... third... 50th!

Hardcore or softcore?
Ahem. I assume we're speaking about hardcore or softcore rock, here... right? riiiiiiiiiiight? Both! :-P

Any SPWC members that you know in real life or have met at a concert? Post their usernames only.
I haven't yet had the good fortune to meet any fellow SPWC members in person... though I hope to change that very, very soon the next time they're anywhere nearby! :D

Anything else that you wish to reveal about yourself? Uhmmm. I like rainbows (if that wasn't obvious already). I have a great big fat tuxedo cat named Dax, and I'm always up for meeting new people and saying hi... so please don't hesitate to do so, if you want?
