Charcoal Emma

Unread postby TOOLsynesthesia » 25 Aug 2009 14:04

Hola! I came across a really cool picture of Emma (and I was itching to draw something), so I sketched it out in charcoal (again) this morning. It's not exactly the same as the reference pic, the angle of her head is slightly different, but that's ok.

Sketch in larger view :

Though I now slowly give it back I still appreciate the loan.

Wow, that's pretty sweet. I saw the Shim ones and was just saying how I would like to see an Emma one...

Thank you! It was wierd drawing her with charcoal, because the ref. picture I found is high contrast, and it bothered me that her torso and arms were a bit nebulous, with all the vague black shapes going on. Very fun to draw, though  .

They're fabulous! I'm working on a Mark sketch, but I can't use my scanner :tantrum:
I may have to settle for taking a picture of it with my digital camera :slapshead:

Well, my internet is the big problem, the DSL went down, so I can't upload anything that I scan.
Ew! I hate picture-eating scanners (like mine  ). Maybe there's a brighness setting on the scanner that you can mess with.

Hmmm...how strange. Scanners do seem to take on a life of their own...
IT'S A CONSPIRACY! SCANNERS-AGAINST-ARTISTS!
